Progress on my zMario. with the help of ~SEspider I now have a clue how to stick multiple objects together in zbrush. and damn is it useful. I'm sticking my others in scraps, and can now work on the body a bit.....

yeah I hear you. the smash bros games made Mario look decent, but everything else since the flat blue overalls was like.. bleh!! :/

I have no problem with his current look, I just don't like that they only offer the Mario Party 4 model in higher resolutions, while SMB1-3 and SMW had totally different styles.

The same goes with Link. The Artworks for him were completely different each generations, now it's either OoT or TWW Link :(

well.. I can understand this. yes. I like consistency... but interpretation is better too in my opinion. Yoshi was brilliant in melee, and in brawl just as much, but every first party appearance was just the same horrible design over and over.

then again, they re-interpret sonic frequently, this isn't necessarily a good thing.

I liked Next-Gen Eggman. I prefer the comic-style, but a serious look was a nice break ^^

I didn't like Yoshi's design in SSBM. Looked too much like a human and too less like a dinosaur.

whaaa? but.. in Smash Bros he had a raptor sorta body with an actual tale and a neck that was in front of the main chest section. In Nintendo's official version he's simply an upright character with a little tail and an almost backpack saddle....

Not totally clear on what you mean with Eggman.

Well, i prefer the more rounded Brawl version. But the SSB64 one was cool too, especially the Polygon Raptor :P

I meant Dr. Eggman in Sonic The Hedgehog (the glitchy 2006 version, not the original). Here's a picture (although he only looks slimmer in this pic): [link]

I was refering to Melee. Ehhh... you mean the modern version with anatomical references as opposed to the old genesis circular one. gotcha. :D yeah I prefer this eggman too...
